As a Hudson Valley product photographer I’ve been lucky enough lately to be doing some Hudson Valley product photography for Kiss My Face. In case you don’t know, Kiss My Face is a natural cosmetics company located in Gardiner, NY. I’m thrilled to have them as a client because I believe in their philosophy and they happen make great products. If you care about what you put onto your body and into the environment then check them out. You can find their products in health food stores and through their website. Below are a couple of photos from my first shoot with them. This is their olive oil soap, which is great. I chose to shoot it on a wood surface to emphasize the natural qualities of it. Next is one of their gift baskets available through their website. I photographed a number of these and had a fun time styling them. Industrial Product Photography – an exercise in patience
Industrial Photographer in New York
I recently completed an industrial product photography shoot for Signal Transformer. What I thought would be a simple shoot turned out to be more difficult than I expected. It was a group photo of the various transformers that they make for trade show display. They turned out to be much smaller than I imagined so it required quite a bit of patience with the styling, composition and lighting. I used one of my macro lenses and these parts are smaller than you pinky nail, so you can imagine the toil that went into the shoot. In the end I came up with an image that both I and the client were happy with. I guess all my experience as a food photographer is coming in handy in other applications. Who knew that I would one day be doing side work as an industrial photographer. Below is the final result. Let me know what you think.

Kate contacted me about modeling for stock to help build her fitness modeling portfolio. She’s new to modeling but not new to fitness. She was a college athlete and still works out regularly. We shot a few different concepts and got a ton of great shots. I had a great time shooting with her in the studio and using the light to accentuate her figure.
