Hudson Valley Wine Photographer – Clinton Vineyards

Hudson Valley Wine Photographer – Clinton Vineyards

I was very lucky this year to have worked with Clinton Vineyards on the launch of their new website. As a Hudson Valley wine photographer I was introduced to Clinton Vineyards while I was still the staff photographer at the CIA. I visited as part of a Hudson Valley agri-tourism group and was blown away by the experience. More recently I have been working with Public Impact, the firm representing Clinton Vineyards as the gem it is.

About Clinton Vineyards

With a bucolic setting seemingly miles from anything it is easily accessible from Rhinebeck NY and the Taconic State Parkway. Clinton Vineyards grows exclusively Seyval Blanc grapes and produce their own Seyval Blanc white wine and some spectacular méthode champenoise sparkling wines (basically champagne, but not from France) in addition to some wonderful dessert wines made from local raspberries, blackberries, currants and more. Proprietor Phyllis Feder is an amazing woman and can often be found gracing the tasting room.

Victory White

Most recently I photographed their Victory White wine which garnered national attention as being an enthusiastic nod to Hillary Clinton for her Presidential bid and the news was picked up by the likes of CNN, ABC and Mashable. Stop by or take the trip for a wonderful experience.

Hudson Valley Food Photographer – Clinton Vineyards

I had the pleasure to recently shoot some editorial and product photography for Clinton Vineyards in Clinton Corners NY for their new website. It’s a fantastic vineyard in Dutchess County and they’re known for their sparkling wines, their Seyval Blanc, and their dessert wines. Here’s a few photos I took in my studio of their wines, but check out their site at clintonvineyards.com to see and learn more about this Hudson Valley winery and make sure to visit them on your next trip to the area. As a Hudson Valley Food Photographer I love to experience all the bounty that the Hudson Valley has to offer.

Another Pastry & Baking Magazine Cover

I was was happy to see that a photo I had taken was chosen as the cover of Pastry & Baking North America magazine for Volume 4 Issue 6, the final issue of 2010. I was a little surprised since I had already had a cover a few months ago, but pleased none the less. The dessert is a Hudson Valley Plum Jam Danish by Chef Francisco Migoya at The Culinary Institute of America. In addition to the cover there is a five page step by step inside the magazine, which can be downloaded for free here, but I warn you, it’s a professional magazine so don’t try this at home unless you know what you’re doing. Photographing food is always easier when the food looks good to begin with and Chef Migoya knows what he’s doing so it came out great.

Pastry Magazine Cover

One of my photos is the cover of the most recent issue of the Pastry & Baking North America magazine, a professional publication. I took this photo for the The Culinary Institute of America where I am the senior photographer. We have been supplying this magazine recipe packages for a few months now, but I had no idea when I sent this one in that it would make the cover. My photos have graced the cover of many of the CIA Alumni Magazines and catalogs but it’s a great honor to have the cover of this publication. I have to, of course, give credit to Chef Alain Dubernard for creating this fantastic dessert. The issue is available online if you care to see the step by step directions on how to make this local apple-inspired dessert.
