Barbara & Gerard’s Wedding in the Catskills
Barbara and Gerard’s Wedding in the Catskills at Full Moon Resort was a blast. Full Moon is one of my favorite places to shoot. An amazing place for a wedding, it’s in the heart of the beautiful Catskills and there’s no cell service so guests like the ability to disconnect and be completely present.
I first met Barbara and Gerard during their engagement shoot in Beacon, NY. I had a great time getting to know them, and I could tell then by their energy and interactions that their wedding day was going to be amazing.
Before the ceremony, the couple decided to do a first look and group photos, which was a great choice since it freed up all of the time after the ceremony to celebrate. After the ceremony we did a quick portrait session and then they got to enjoy the rest of their day with their many guests and bridal party members.
Their ceremony was in the lower grove at Full Moon, which is an amazing site for a wedding. The lower grove is a tranquil clearing in the woods that has a magical feel to it. The ceremony was officiated by Gerard’s father with readings and songs by family and friends.
After the ceremony we walked down to the Esopus Creek, which meanders through the Full Moon property. I’m always super conscious of the time I take with the bride and groom, and it’s my goal to get them back to the party as soon as possible after capturing some beautiful portraits.
The party was fantastic. There was dinner; there was dancing. And Double Image Event Productions made sure that everyone had a great time.
Barbara and Gerard’s wedding was an amazing day for an amazing couple. I wish them all the best in their life together. Their Wedding in the Catskills is not one that will be forgotten any time soon.
