Molly & Erik’s Winding Hills Wedding was a day to remember. I did an engagement shoot with Molly and Erik in the spring at Winding Hills Golf Course in Montgomery NY so I got to see where their wedding reception would be. I also had the opportunity to get to know them and see them interact. That’s always something I like to do before the wedding if possible.
The day of the wedding I started at Molly’s parents house in Scotchtown NY. Everyone was ready early and we had the opportunity to take some formal photos. We photographed the bride with her parents and sisters and with the rest of her bridesmaids at the house.
The ceremony was at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Middletown NY. The Church open and airy and the light was good. I especially liked the light streaming in through the stained glass at the back of the church. We did the family formal photos on the altar following the ceremony then we were off the the reception.
Winding Hills is an amazing place for a wedding reception. When we got there the bridal party loaded up in golf carts and we rode out to the back of the golf course where there’s an old foundation that’s lavishly landscaped. That together with the late afternoon light made for some magical pictures.
Once we were done with portraits it was off the the party. And what a party it was! With the sound laid down by none other than Dave Leonard from JTD Productions the dancing was virtually non-stop. The tent at Winding Hills was huge and the lighting was awesome so I had a great time shooting the dancing into the night.
Overall it was a great wedding and I loved that I was there to capture it all for Molly and Erik. Take a look at the photos below and leave a comment!
